Pocket Perspectives

Reflections from a friend

Check this out…Yesterday, Pocket Perspectives, (her blog is also filled with wonderful words of inspiration placed on crafty computer art) asked; if she could use the picture of the Fawn and dog I had posted on the poem; “The Fawn.” She took the picture and created a wonderful post called;

“May we Nurture that Gentle Fawn that we see in each other.”

I am all for sharing and helping one another in this world, what a wonderful world it would be if we all thought like this. But then again, that is my perspective. Check out these sites and become inspired and perhaps a little wiser from reading wisdom writes/ quotes embedded in computer art. Since todays post is about perspectives, I thought this would be a great way to point a finger to two wonderful sites on… “Perspectives.”

A Perspective Story –

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to, learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise .

The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree’s life.

He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season. That the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and the love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

(moral; Don’t judge life, or a life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come. We all see the world differently and from different perspectives.)

I was hunting for some pictures for my other blog;

Fishin for chuckles

…and found these and I was intrigued. The way we view life is different for each of us and I look at it like; we are all flowers in a field and each of us a different color, shape, size and we all see the field from a different perspective. Then again some have to be the grass and weeds (perhaps they are the ones with-out beauty in their lives). I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I did.
