Shania Twain
“Ka-Ching”
We live in a greedy little world,
that teaches every little boy and girl,
to earn as much as they can possibly,
then turn around and spend it foolishly.
We’ve created us a credit card mess.
We spend the money that we don’t possess.
Our religion is to go and blow it all.
So it’s shoppin’ every Sunday at the mall.
All we ever want is more.
A lot more than we had before.
So take me to the nearest store.
Can you hear it ring.
It makes you wanna sing.
It’s such a beautiful thing – Ka-ching!
Lots of diamond rings.
The happiness it brings.
You’ll live like a king,
with lots of money and things.
When you’re broke go and get a loan.
Take out another mortgage on your home.
Consolidate so you can afford,
to go and spend some more when you get bored.
All we ever want is more.
A lot more than we had before.
So take me to the nearest store
Let’s swing!
Dig deeper in your pocket.
Oh, yeah, Come on I know you’ve got it.
Dig deeper in your wallet.
Oh, All we ever want is more.
A lot more than we had before.
So take me to the nearest store
Can you hear it ring.
It makes you wanna sing.
You’ll live like a king,
with lots of money and things.
Ka-ching!

The simple life (a zendictive comment)… I remember when rice and beans with tortillas was the main meal. Saving pennies in a jar was a daily enjoyment. I sat the other day waiting on my brother who was in the doctors office and I spotted a penny on the ground.
At first I thought to pick it up but the hall-way was filled with traffic, people walking. I saw a lady who also saw the penny on the ground and half bent over to pick it up but then decided not to. I then reached into my pocket and pulled out a nickle and waited for the right time and then rolled it towards the penny.
It wasn’t but a few minutes and a man walking by reached down and picked up the nickle. I walked over and picked up the penny. I just paid 4 cents for a valuble lesson. (people are attracted to things that shine)

NICE ONE ART —– !!!!
SIMPLE LIFE IS THE BEST LIFE ——–
! DEFINITELY –
YOU APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE –
AND REALIZE THE THINGS YOU NEVER EVEN NEED –
LIFE IS NOT ABOUT STUFF .
IT’S OUR HEARTS THAT MAKE US – US
NOT ANYTHING ELSE 🙂
I THINK LIFE BECOMES SHINIER WHEN WE BECOME AWARE OF THAT
:))))))))))))
SHINY DAY TO YOU
XOXOXOX

I pick up pennies whenever I see them… if it’s at the store down the street I waive it at them gleefully, “Look! i found a penny!” 🙂
I was just talking last week about retail therapy and how it doesn’t replace the simple things in life…
Unfortuntately some of the things I would like to go and do for entertainment, do cost money… 😦

Shine, little candle, shine! (How is your brother, by the way?) Wonderful 4 cent lesson you shared here with us. As for me, I was taught that all found pennies were lucky–and I pick up each and every one I find. Since I walk around this small town to complete all my errands, I find lots of pennies others consider worthless. The value is assigned by the user, I think; not the neglecter.

Does money really make one happy? Some people think so, but some of the best things in life, and most important things, cannot be purchased with money.
