My sister-in-laws friend was driving home from work when she saw a car pulled next to a dumpster. A person got out and placed a medium sized box on the ground, next to the dumpster. Curious, my sister-in-laws friend turned the car around to see what was in the box, for by this time the car near the dumpster was gone. She pulled in, drove next to the box and got out. Immediately she knew what it was by the sounds coming from the box. Opening the box, there were five tiny puppies in the box. She ended up taking them to the Vet, who said they were healthy, Australian shepards/ mixed.

We took one of the pups and gave it to my daughter, ‘lil sunshine’ who named it, sweetheart, because it has a heart shaped mark on it’s forehead. I wanted to name it, ‘corn flake’ because of its color. But women usually get their way. So we now have a new addition to the family.

This reminded me of

Mr. Wobbles

(a zendictive post)

The kitten I brought home from work that wobbled when it walked because of an injury it recieved after a hawk picked it up and flew away. The weight was too much for the hawk to clear the prison fence so it dropped the kitten. I brought it home and it stayed in a box for nearly three weeks before it finally came out and started to play with the family. It had an injury to its hip that was permanent,so it wobbled when it walked, hence we named it Mr. Wobbles.

Playing with the touchpad, so I could take the picture of the puppy, I took this picture of my back yard.

The Trinity River

(taken from my front yard) Art~

I have in my hands two boxes which God gave me to hold
He said, “Put all your sorrows in the black, And all your joys in the gold.”

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes
Both my joys and sorrows I stored
But though the gold became heavier each day
The black was as light as before
With curiosity, I opened the black I wanted to find out why
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused aloud,
“I wonder where my sorrows could be.”
He smiled a gentle smile at me.”
“My child, they’re all here with me.”

I asked, “God, why give me the boxes,
Why the gold, and the black with the hole?”
“My child, the gold is for you to count your
blessings, The black is for you to let go.”

A dog, the only thing on earth that loves you more than it loves itself.
